Visakha Puja

One of the most celebrated and the most important of Buddhist festivals is Visakha Puja Day or “Vesak” celebrating 3 events; the birth, enlightenment, and the passing away of the Buddha.
These events occurred when the moon was in the Visakha (usually in May), which is why the day is called Visakha Puja, “Puja” meaning to pay respects.
Program:
10:00 AM Receiving the five precepts and listening to chanting.
10:30 AM The monks will go on alms round.
11:00 AM Food offerings to the monks.
12:00 PM Everyone enjoys a lunch. (Please bring a dish to pass.)
12:30 PM The donation tree and goods will be offered to the temple.
1:00 PM Dhamma talks in both Thai and English.
5:30 PM Dhamma class
